So many know and love Elizabeth Gilbert's books, and I'm one of them. But some of my favorite musings from her have been her FB posts, her blogs, and IG posts that seem to touch space and time in a different way because they're coming from her brilliant thoughts here and now. This is no different. Beautiful shares regularly.
Well-Read Black Girl is a force in the publishing world and the force behind it's movement, Glory, is absolutely brilliant. Glory's work is expansive and shows her gift as not only a writer, but teacher and leader in this field. I have the absolute honor of having my book being as WRBG pick (Jan 2023) and get to call Glory a real life friend. This is a no-brainer must follow.
Alex Elle is a NYT bestselling author and so much more than that, she's been teaching workshops on healing through writing for years. Each space that she holds becomes a container for growth for her community. I've had the honor of being a guest on her previous podcast, Hey Girl, and also get to call her a real life friend. Her recent books, How We Heal + After The Rain, are testaments to her many talents. This is an absolute no-brainer subscribe now.
I've just recently come across Maggie's work through Substack, and the only thing that helps me deal with the fact that I've missed her work all these years is that I now have so much brilliant writing to catch up on. She is brilliant. Subscribe.
Emma is a brilliant writer and storyteller that has a way of teaching through the most empathetic lens, her experience as a writer, entrepreneur, and woman in this world. I've had the honor of being a guest on her podcast, Ctrl Alt Delete, and I've read her novel Olive, and couldn't recommend her enough.
The reason we love Cheryl, is not only because her writing is UNBELIEVABLE but it's because her work doesn't appear to come from a place of ego. Her honest, kind, and blunt style writing is coming straight from the heart, and you can tell, that each word is chosen with intention and care. Do yourself a favor and subscribe.
